VICTORIAN TEA
HOUSE In the Winter months just prior to Christmas, the home is decorated for the holidays. This splash is able to be viewed through Mid February.
Late Spring, Summer and Fall tours include the Extensive gardens and the House.
The tea party is in itself worth the visit. Seven courses served with a truly British flair will satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Don't forget the tea ....the flavored "tea of the day" is guaranteed to please, ....Oh, and save room for desserts!
Then sit back and enjoy the company of your friends as you learn the history of the house and it's previous owners. The tea party must be at least 15 guests due to the extreme amount of preparation of the menu. If a tour bus is your plan, we can accommodate 50 in two sittings. The group is split, half take in the Victorian Tea experience and the other half will get a tour of Markesan's wonderful museum. We then reset the settings and change groups!
Obviously advance reservations are a must. The cost for the lunch/tour is $20, which includes tax but not gratuity. The house is not handicap accessible, as there are 7 stairs to the front door and 4 in the back. It is a smoke free house and is not recommended for children. If an extended tour is in your plans, there are many wonderful stops that we can suggest to fill your day, including downtown shopping, the museum, the Arkdale Castle book store, the Amish Settlement and shops, and more. Join us for a truly fun afternoon. Until then, sit back, relax, and Enjoy a cup of tea You can contact your hosts Darlene and Clyde Olson at 920-398-8023 or at bonnieandclyde@charter.net. |
