Grand Valley Historical Museum opens

May 5 & 6
7:30 p.m. Kiwanis Annual Variety Show at the Markesan High School

Sesquicentennial stamp cancel at the Markesan Post office

May 24
Marquette Fire Department rummage sale and brat fry

May 25
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – American Legion & Auxiliary Chicken BBQ at the Markesan Legion Hall

May 25
Sesquicentennial Re-enactment of the incorporation of Markesan and celebration at the Grand Valley Historical Museum from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

May 26
8:30 a.m. - Markesan Memorial Day Parade starts proceeding from the Abendroth Connolly American Legion Hall to the cemetery.
10:30 a.m. - Kingston Memorial Day Parade followed by the Kingston Lioness Soup and Sandwich and the America Legion silent auction at the American Legion Hall. Kingston Historical Society guest speaker Jack Meyers at 2 p.m.
11:30 a.m.-  Cemetery walk through historic Manchester Cemetery on Grand River Road west of Manchester sponsored by the Markesan Historical Society. Walk will commence following the Memorial Day services.
