Grand River Valley Historical Museum opens

May 3 & 4
7:30 p.m.- Kiwanis Annual Variety Show at the Markesan High School

May 8
8:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. - 6th Annual Spring Sale at the Markesan Public Library 
Books, FFA plant sale, hanging baskets, annuals, flowers, vegetables, herbs.  Bake sale  food stuff to eat while browsing.

May 15
8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – 2nd Annual Plant Sale - 'By the Lake'     Soldiers & Sailors Park

May 16
8:00 a.m. –  ??p.m. – Markesan Sno-Drifters 1st Annual Antique Car and Vintage Snowmobile Show

11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – American Legion & Auxiliary Chicken BBQ at the Markesan Legion Hall

May 31
8:30 a.m. - Markesan Memorial Day Parade starts proceeding from the Abendroth Connolly American Legion Hall to the cemetery.

Cemetery walk through Center House Cemetery, located on N & K by Center House, sponsored by the Markesan Historical Society.
Walk will commence following the Memorial Day services.

Markesan Lions Family Picnic  Saturday July 3rd at Soldiers and Sailors Park on Little Green Lake.

Chicken BBQ - 4pm til Gone
Hold-Um Poker Tournament - Starts at 11am (RSVP Dennis Triemstra 920-295-9079 Appreciated)
Bean Bag Tournament - Starts at 1pm  at Soldiers & Sailors Park
The Band will be BENT - Starting at 8pm - 12:30am - NO COVER
     
FIREWORKS at dusk   (Rain date - Sunday 4th)

5:00 p.m. til gone – Markesan Lions Pork Roast held at Soldiers and Sailors Park.
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Kids fisheree

August 14
AugustFest -  Free corn, games & activities starting 4:30-7:30.  The Little Red Dairy Barn/FFA & Markesan Lions and Sno-Drifters will be serving food, refreshments and ice cream. Russ and Ron will provide music.  Dizzy D and Community Options will provide games and entertainment.  The Pinata Ceremony will be at 6 pm.  Stubby;s Whiffle Ball Tournament, Lions street dance.
