Bulky Trash Pickup

The City of Markesan offers two Bulky Trash pickups throughout the year, normally scheduled for April and October.  These pickups are done at all residential addresses in the City and are provided for City residents only.  NO items can be brought into the City from elsewhere for these pickups.   Items that WILL NOT be picked up are:

n        Tires, oil or batteries

n       Brush, leaves or other organic waste

n       Shingles

n       Hazardous waste (including paint, chemicals, etc.)

n       Major appliances (white goods) such as stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, washers, dryers, etc.  (These items can be taken to the recycling/compost center for disposal.  A fee will be charged).

n       Computers and related equipment

n       Building and construction materials
