The Markesan Hornet Booster Club works hard to help the children of Markesan District Schools and the school itself be the best it can be. The club meets the last Monday evening of every month to discuss any new projects and prepare for any upcoming events.

Some of our annual fund raisers are:
Gourmet Books which school groups use to raise money
Spring Golf Outing at Two Oaks in Wautoma
Summer Softball Tournament in Dalton
NFL Football Raffle

Besides the annual events, we also sell Markesan Hornet clothing. Golf shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, mugs .... we've got it all. Stop by the Markesan State Bank and pick up something for your self our your student. We have items ranging in size from youth medium through adult 3X Large.

Because of the support of the community, our fund raisers have helped to fund the following projects:
$500.00 scholarships for Markesan High School Seniors. 6 given in 2004
New Lighted Sign at the High School Middle School Entrance
Mini Sports Calendars
Equipment for the weight room
New Sound Board for the Music Department
Built a cart for the Band Department
Purchased an ATV for use at the athletic fields
Purchased the Markesan Hornet Mascot uniform
Purchased new Score Boards for the baseball diamonds
Purchased the cabinets for the concession stand at the football field
Purchased the Floor Mats with the Hornet Logo at the entrance to the schools
